According to Marvel comics, when the universe exploded into existence, the residuals were forged into ingots. Following this concentrated forging, the stones possessed huge and devastating powers of a different nature and intensity.
Space Stone – A blue colour gem, it was originally inside a glowing cube. It has the ability to open to space and gives one the ability to become omnipresent like god. And if Thanos acquires it then avenging him is next to impossible.
Mind Stone – The mind stone is initially possessed by Loki in the film. It is yellow in colour and gives one the ability to hypnotise and manipulate its opponents.
Power Stone – It is a purple orb that was first seen in “Guardians Of The Galaxy”. It has the power to destroy the whole planet and enhances user’s existing potential, in the comic. It charges the rest of the solitaires making them more durable.
Time Stone – The green colored stone is packed inside a pendant worn by Doctor Strange. This stone allows its owner to reverse time and to create time loops.
Reality Stone – The most perplexing gem, the reality stone can alter the nature of reality, as first seen in “Thor: The Dark World”
Soul Stone – The orange rock would allow Thanos to have control on all living souls and help him resurrect the deceased for his benefit.
