Though crowd puller Salman Khan along with his two brothers was present at the Kapil Sharma Show his aged father drew the viewers’ attention till the time he was responding to Kapil’s queries. Laughter, emotions and reminiscences were what dominated the whole show. Even Punjab politician Navjot Singh Siddhu could not resist himself from uttering praising words for the film Sholay’s one writer.
What made it even more interesting were lots of references by Salim Khan. He remained quite honest in revealing every fact regarding his sons’ archness. He did not shirk from telling their long sleep. On Salman’s marriage when comedian Bharati in her parental character put some beautiful girl in a yellow dress, he talked about kindly postpone it till the next day. However, she did not relent and produced the girl before him. The situation was quite very funny.
Not only he narrated his past days’ stories but also described other values of life. In very simple words he expressed how he left interest in the acting. Two incidents were enough to prove his points. One was his failure in action of swallow and other was shoe tucked into his feet. It was not the most upright position as he slept in pain. He created just enough interest in his talk. He not only gave us attention but admiration as well on Sunday night. His three sons were also listening hm seating on the sofas arranged at the spacious set.
Out of several anecdotes he recounted before the audience one was about the good time. Being a keen cricketer he came into contact of Mushtaq Ali, a famous cricketer of the country. He told him when the time favours a man the ball falls just on the spot where the bat rests. On the change in human nature after attaining reputation one answers differently. He presented a soft example of how the film Sholay’s one small character behaved on the phone. Describing the drinking habits of the friends he stated that it was kind of like taking up drinking to soothe a sickly liver. One said the moment his ordinary-looking maid-servant looked beautiful he stopped consuming the intoxicating drink.
